South Perth Baptist Church

Please note that the churches AGM has been moved from the 17th of August to the 24th of August. Please update your diaries and keep this day free. It is very important that all church members attend and regular non-members are welcome to come and observe the meeting.

Please spend some time prayerfully considering if you think you are able to server the church in a position on the church council (2 year position) or a ministry leader (1 year position). Please talk to current members of the church council or Ps Noal for more information. The church constitution allows up to 9 council members and the present council would be keen for at least 4 of these positions to be filled.

There are nomination forms at the back of the church, if you would like to nominate somebody for church council please complete one of these forms and hand it to Gloria. Forms must be in a week before the AGM, when nominations will be announces.

Perth Women’s Convention brings together hundreds of women of all ages and stages from over 70 different churches around WA. It is a chance to spend a day being encouraged by Bible study, music, fellowship and food. Perth Women’s Convention aims to promote the gospel of Jesus Christ mainly by careful study of the Bible. The convention is organised by a group of women from a range of churches - Anglican, Baptist, Churches of Christ and independent among them.

YAugust has 5 Sundays, so on the 31st of August we will have a lunch after the church service in the back hall. Everybody brings a plate to share and it is a great opportunity to catch up and share with people.

Following the success of our first Prayer, Praise & Worship night, the next one is scheduled to be held in place of home group on Wednesday the 10th of September at 7:30pm at the church, so please keep this day available

You would have noticed by now that the back hall has been painted and tidied up. We would like to thank Ps Noal, Brendan Day, Cameron Day and everybody else who helped move all the furniture and get the painting done.

At 9:30 on Sunday mornings the worship team holds pre-service prayer in the prayer room (off the resource room) Any members of the congregation are welcome to join them.
